Working together to Create an Emotionally Intelligent School
Introduction: One/two day training for schools. This course allows you to take time to really discover the sucessful use of emotional intelligence which is already happening, to build on this and to understand some of the theory behind why it works. Giving all adults in the school a chance to look at their own emotional intelligence and learn how to develop it further. Enabling the creation of a team who are able to see how they as individuals can contribute to the continuing development of an emotionally intelligent school, by helping them to better understand themselves, their colleagues, the pupils and the parents.
Outcomes: * developing trust as a staff - what does it take? Looking at belonging , safety and challenge and its effects on the staff, pupils and parents. * Ability to change own inner stae, creating the optimal state for learning. * Understanding behaviour patterns and beginning to understand how to break them. * communication which establishes boundaries and does not damage. *Developing own sense of values- do I act in accordance with my values? * Looking at the roles we play and how this effects the difference we are able to make to those around us.
Audience: Any school who is interested in developing this area of it's staff, pupils and parents.
