Six Day Lead Learner Training
Introduction: Covered in two day blocks with a month between. This course allows two or three adults from each school to be trained to lead the development of Emotional Intelligence in their school. This is a training which requires a strong committment to self knowledge and transformation. The participants work with areas such as the environment both internal and external, the behaviour of staff and pupils and understand it. The learning styles and how they effect success and self-esteem, intrinsic motivation and it's effects on learning and many more aspects of EI.
Outcomes:
Day One: * Establishing self-knowledge as a legitimate and valuable subject to study in school * Building a willingness to participate in activities and discussion. * Developing trust in the group - what does it take? * Responsibility, Respect, Accepting and Keeping Confidences. * Looking at Belonging, Safety and Challenge and the connection to the internal and external environment.
Day Two:
* Developing awareness of the relationship between thoughts, feelings, physical states and behaviour. * Ability to change own inner state, creating the optimal state for learning. * Understanding behaviour patterns and beginning to understand how to break them. * Communication which establishes bourdaries and does not damage.
Day Three: * Developing capability in using learning styles and processing preferences, managing behaviour patterns. * Developing alternativ responses * Success - how do you create it? * developing the ability to plan teaching to match learning styles. * how knowledge about how learners learn effects their self-esteem

Audience:
The course is designed for teachers or learning support staff who are willing to work on using the course for their own personal development, using the course material to work with individual children, groups of children or whole classes, and using the course to work with the whole staff on a whole school approach.
